Working principle
With the specified quality and size of the drop hammer from the specified height of the impact of the test sample specified parts, you can measure the batch (or continuous extrusion production) of the real impact rate of the product. This test method can be changed by changing the quality of the drop hammer or changing the height to meet the technical requirements of different products. The maximum allowable TIR value is 10%.
True impact rate:
When the whole batch of products are tested, the total number of impact damage divided by the total number of impacts is the real impact rate, expressed as a percentage.
Damage:
When observed with the naked eye, cracks, cracks or specimen breakage of the sample caused by impact are called damage, and the indentation or discoloration of the sample caused by the impact of the drop hammer is not considered damage. Host frame and guide rail:
Vertically fixed, can be adjusted and vertical, free release drop hammer, calibration, drop hammer impact pipe rate can not be less than 95% of the theoretical rate.
Hammer body:
The hammer body should comply with the provisions of FIG. 1 and Table 2, the hammer head should be made of steel, the minimum wall thickness is 5mm, the surface of the hammer head should not have dents, scratches and other visible defects that affect the test results, the drop hammer with a mass of 0.5kg and 0.8kg should have a d25 hammer, and the drop hammer with a mass greater than or equal to 1kg should have a d90 hammer.
The specimen support:
Including a 120° Angle V-shaped bracket, its length should not be less than 200mm, and its fixed position should be such that the vertical projection of the impact point of the drop hammer should be within 2.5mm of the center line of the V-shaped bracket. When arbitrating the test, the lead screw top or support is used.
Release device:
The drop hammer can be dropped from any height of at least 2 meters, which refers to the height from the specimen surface, accurate to ±10mm. There should be a device to prevent the second impact of the drop hammer, and the catch rate of the drop hammer rebound should be guaranteed 100%.

Sample preparation:
The sample should be randomly cut from a batch or continuous production of pipes. The cutting end face should be perpendicular to the axis of the pipes. The cutting end should be clean and free of damage.
Sample length: The length of the sample is (200±10) mm
Sample marking:
Samples with an outside diameter greater than 40mm should be marked with equidistant lines along their length direction and numbered sequentially. The number of pipe samples with different outside diameters should be shown in Table 3. For pipes with an outside diameter less than or equal to 40mm, only one impact should be carried out on each sample. Table 3

Condition conditioning:
The sample should be adjusted in a water bath or air bath at (0±1) ℃ or (20±2) ℃. The shortest adjustment time is shown in Table 4. The water bath should be used for arbitration test.

After state adjustment, the specimen with a wall thickness less than or equal to 8.6mm should be taken out of the air bath for 10s or from the water bath for 20s to complete the test. The specimen with wall thickness greater than 8.6mm should be taken out of the air bath within 20s or from the water bath within 30s to complete the test. If this interval is exceeded, the sample should be immediately returned to the pretreatment device for at least 5min of reprocessing. If the state adjustment temperature of the sample is (20±2) ℃ and the ambient temperature of the test is (20±5) ℃, the time from taking out the sample to the completion of the test can be extended to 60s.
Test steps:
1, according to the provisions of product standards to determine the quality of the drop hammer and impact height.
2, the outer diameter of the sample is less than or equal to 40mm, each sample only withstand one impact.
3, the outer diameter of the sample is greater than 40mm in the impact test, first make the drop hammer impact on the No. 1 mark, if the sample is not damaged, then impact on the No. 2 mark, until the sample is damaged or all the marks are impacted once. Impact the sample one by one until the judgment result is obtained.
